Traumatic Injury Insurance-
Every member who has SGLI (Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance) also has TSGLI (Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance Traumatic Injury Protection Program) effective December 1, 2005. This benefit is also provided retroactively for members who incurred severe losses as a result of a traumatic injury between October 7, 2001 and December 1, 2005 if the loss was the direct result of injuries incurred in Operations Enduring Freedom or Iraqi Freedom.
